Our Operational Standards
Drivers & Certifications
Our drivers bring extensive local experience and familiarity with regional routes and operating environments across Syria. Every driver completes a certified Advanced Safe Driving program endorsed by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), with a focus on journey planning, vehicle control, and hazard anticipation and reaction. First aid training is completed by all drivers as part of their onboarding with Vantage, alongside ongoing coaching in communication, vehicle care, and client interaction. Clients may request to review the qualifications of their assigned drivers prior to their mission.
Vehicles
Every Vantage vehicle undergoes regular servicing and pre-trip checks. Each is equipped with GPS, dashcam, and rearview camera as standard, alongside a field emergency kit that includes tyre repair and pressure management, first aid supplies, and additional field essentials. All vehicles have built-in LTE connectivity, while Starlink is available on request.
Risk Approach
Security risk management is not a service we offer alongside transportation - it is the framework our planning is built on. We maintain up-to-date city and route assessments across our areas of operation, allowing us to adapt plans and provide informed guidance if necessary. Clear communications are established with the client before departure so that everyone involved knows what to expect and what to do if circumstances change. Our planning draws from real-time ground information while our crisis support desk remains available throughout every active movement. Following longer journeys and field visits, we are happy to provide clients with a brief overview of road conditions, travel considerations, and other relevant observations that may assist future planning.
